Actor Matías Alé became the protagonist of a viral incident on social media by collaborating with the police in the arrest of two women who were stealing in the San Martín pedestrian area of Mar del Plata, using the tactic of shoplifters. This situation arose after various people reported thefts occurring in the area, including spectators of the theater where Matías Alé was performing.
In an interview with the Argentine News Agency, Alé remarked that the thefts at the theater’s entrance were repeating daily, which led them to take measures to alert the public about the situation. The actor explained that, although it was uncomfortable to invite people to attend his performances while warning them of potential thefts, it was a necessary responsibility given the crowded and busy location.
Thanks to the installation of security cameras and collaboration with the police, a group of individuals who had been committing thefts in the area was identified. Matías Alé noted that, although the situation was tense, and even one of his colleagues was a victim of theft while filming, the offenders were ultimately apprehended.
The women were detained by UTOI personnel, and justice is expected to be served regarding the thefts committed on Rivadavia Street. Matías Alé, currently participating in the Mar del Plata theater season in the play "Sospechosos," took an active role in addressing this issue, showing his commitment to the safety and well-being of his audience and the community at large.
